From the Latin word "feathers" like old-fashioned quill pen shapes, these penne rigate noodles are diagonally-cut, tubular-shaped noodles with ridged surfaces that can be used in soups, side dishes, entrées and more. Most pasta sauces work great with penne rigate, but sauces with thinner consistencies will cling more to ridges in the penne. These come in a 16-ounce bag.
