GDF Studio Rafaela Indoor Tufted Chaise Lounge, Dark Teal and Dark Brown

I used to have a chaise that was identical to my first purchase--the red version of the Rafaela Tufted New Velvet Chaise Lounge--except that it was more burnt orange in color, and literally about 4x the size; or as my husband referred to it, "a hideous orange monstrosity". Although I of course loved the piece, it was rather unwieldy and near impossible to plan a comfortable but also aesthetically pleasing room scheme around it--it was just too big. The Rafaela Chaise does not suffer from any of those drawbacks, while offering all of the same lovely features I adored about my old chair. Bonus: the beautiful salsa red color of the soft velvet is exactly the shade I always wanted for my chaise. (Among so many other things, I put up with the burnt orange, but the piece I always had in mind was intended to be a true red). To address sizing concerns: Yes it isn't meant for taller people, if you plan on stretching out, but at 5'5, I can lounge and read comfortably relaxed. (FYI: I am also no lightweight at, 255 lbs, and the chaise seems to support me just fine). I am a bit concerned that my 6 year old might destroy the chaise, as he has had to be reprimanded several times for climbing all over and hanging from the headrest, however this is less a concern about the sturdiness of the piece and altogether an issue about the force of destruction that is my rambunctious 6 year old! Suffice it to say, I love this comfortable, lovely and classic chaise. In fact, after it arrived and my husband (quickly and easily) set it up, I immediately ordered another one in the teal shade to match my bedroom, because I didn't want to miss out on the great price I got on sale for each one.
