These are very good quality work gloves for kids. They're a little big for my son, who is 5 years old, but he is on the small side so sizing is probably about right for 3- 5 year olds. We haven't had a chance to use them yet because it's too cold for yard work, but they should work well for most tasks like gathering weeds, branches, etc. They're a good thickness but probably not completely impenetrable for sharp objects.

Bought these gloves for my grandkids so they can help us do outdoor work. They are very good gloves. They are a little stiff at first, but they quickly soften up. They are thin enough to be able to work, but thick enough to protect little hands from splinters and cuts. This is my second purchase of these gloves and I'm very happy with them.
