Replacement of toaster

I purchased this toaster based on the previous model that had a similar model number. I figured this was the u-new model number for the same older toaster and I was right. The old one only lasted 30-40 years and new one toasts better with easy to use settings. I probably wont last as long as the new toaster LOL

Toasts evenly and satisfactorily

This toaster meets our needs. Toasts evenly. I like the simple basic features. The dial to select the doneness has to be set at the maximum setting to get the results we like. Sometimes, I repeat the toasting cycle to achieve the doneness we like. I need to use tongs to get the toast out.

Cuisinart Toaster CPT-160P1

Thru trial and tribulation, the CPT-160 toaster is not meant for toasting single pieces of bread. Unfortunately, the replacement for my original purchase was the same model with the same problems!? Only one side gets toasted and isn't uniform. Either the corners are untoasted or it's toasted in the middle of the bread. I'm sure toasting two slices of bread will have the same results, as I've switched slots... to no avail.
