During these uncertain times, it is important to remember that you should stock up on shelf stable goods. For those states that did not receive food stamps this month, here's what I recommend. And this is from years of going to the food pantry myself. Go ahead and go to the Walmart website and sort by price ascending. You will find canned items like this that can sit on the shelf for months on end. You may even find that you can buy some of the emergency foods that last up to 10 years. I've got some of this on my shelf from five years ago that I'm still planning on eating. I may not receive food stamps this month, but I've still got about a week's worth of canned food such as this. This has been around for a very long time. Consistently delicious every single time. A great meal for children or adults. I have consumed it for 55 years. It never disappoints served right from the can or warmed up if you prefer it's always a hearty staple in my pantry.
