FoodSaver FM2000 Vacuum Sealing System

I like the size of this sealer. The only thing I do not like about it, you have to cut your own bags with a pair of scissors. It doesn't hold or dispense the film for making bags. I do like that smaller size, but it is a little time consuming to have to make the bags in this manner. I have actually kept my older sealer just to use the ability to measure and cut the bags with it.

I've been a FoodSaver fan for years, but the FM2000 takes it to the next level, way better than our old model. It's noticeably quieter during operation, and a bit more forgiving if things get a little messy mid-seal. The powerful suction is strong and consistent, locking in freshness like a champ for everything from beef to veggies. One must-have tip: Grab the food bag stands and funnels right away (or FoodSaver, please include them!). They keep moisture and debris off the sealing area, ensuring every bag gets a tight seal perfectly on the first try. Without them, you might hit a snag and waste time wiping off the sealing area—lesson learned the hard way. Overall, this is a game-changer for meal prepping and bulk buying. It's reliable, user-friendly, and makes storing food effortless. If you're upgrading or starting fresh, don't hesitate, this one's a keeper!
