About this item
Product details
- Battle monsters and creatures and ultimately collect their powers. As players harvest these powers, they in turn can use them against other monsters in battle, thus getting stronger with each monster they capture.
- Play as both characters, Ellen and Keats, and watch as their separate tales intertwine. Each character has specific talents and gameplay styles: Keats uses traditional direct attacks while Ellen uses strategic methods to trap her enemies.
- From the colorful Fairies to dark Spirits, each creature is painstakingly designed to inspire wonder and amazement.
- Much like pulling fish out of the water with a fishing pole, the PLAYSTATION3 SIXAXIS™ wireless controller lets players literally “shake” their enemies into submission and “yank” their powers from them.
- Design custom Folklore dungeons and share with players online. Populate your levels with creatures you collect during your single player campaign!

creative game
this game is unique....good story, good graphics and fun!!!
Great for Newbies
This game is definetly directed more to the beginning gamer. It is a slow-paced game that allows you to learn about all of the characters one at a time. There are two main characters; one male, one female and each are able to play separately and to earn different levels. I'm only about 1/4 of the way through right now so I'm still learning about the game. There are three different ways that the computer talks to you - one with cool graphics we've come to expect from a sophisticated game where the characters speak to each other; the second is the characters speaking to each other but you choose when they speak and how slowly or fast they speak (according to how fast you read); the third is the computer doing all the speaking (it's like reading a cartoon.) This part of the game I thought was a bit dopey and felt it should have been done only in the first way. You work your way through different levels (or "worlds") gaining different "cloaks" or power's and different characters that help you to fight along the way by "eating" their souls (ID's) - therefore adopting their powers. Point being in the end to travel to the "land of the dead" to speak to dead family or friends that you want to speak with to learn about how they died and to answer the questions that the characters have. There are also little "elfin" characters along the way with little pop-up speaking bubbles that talk to you about how you can win a certain fight, or how you can find a certain character that you need to kill in order to find the dead person you need to speak to. It is a fun game so far, but a bit tedious, and definetly not action-packed enough for a "serious gamer."
Is this ready for next Gen Consoles
The game play was different then any other i've played before, but the story line is kind of like why would someone make a game about there past 17 years ago, and this game needed more voice in the characters instead of comic flashes. I recommend this for young teens because i played it for something to do for a couple of days but didnt really want to play this again though.
