The Flex Rotary Backing Plate Extension extends the backing plate and buffing pad farther away from the base of the rotary buffer so you can more easily see the small, intricate areas that you are buffing. Rotary buffers and polishers are direct drive units, they need to be used with care and the Flex Rotary Backing Plate Extension enables you to be more precise and accurate with the buffer, ensuring excellent results every time.If you’re using a 4 inch or smaller pad on a rotary buffer, you are probably polishing a small or hard to reach areas. With a small buffing pad, you will need to see exactly where the edge of the pad lies and the Flex Rotary Backing Plate Extension makes this possible. By moving the backing plate and pad away from the base of the buffer, you are more easily able to see the exact touch points of the buffing pad. This ensures you don’t run the pad over a body line while also guaranteeing that every surface of the vehicle that has paint gets polished.The Flex Rotary Backing Plate Extension also works great with the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer. When a buffer or polisher is equipped with the Flex Rotary Backing Plate Extension, you gain an extra 2 inches of travel which makes it easier and a more effective way to clean the pads. What this also means is that your hands are a lot less likely to get wet from splatter while using the pad washer.
