OMG, BEST Scissors Ever!!! It sounds weird to be this excited over garden snips but seriously, this is my new favorite scissor/knife/box opener. I know it's labeled garden snips but these babies are truly multipurpose. They're so great that I was looking for reasons to use them. The garden snips themselves have a nice locking mechanism that keeps the blades closed. This is actually my favorite mode. In this mode, you basically have a knife/box opener. There is a serrated edge and a smooth edge. Both are fantastic for cutting up cardboard boxes, slicing through duct tap, and I mean the tough gray kind that you can't rip, or cutting open those hard plastic packages that I feel like are always going to result in a plastic cut (like a paper cut but 100 times worse). The smooth edge is so sharp, I was actually able to use it to even slice wax paper into a perfect circle. It is super sharp so be careful. It comes with a holder that can also be placed on a belt. I would definitely keep it away from small children. The spring is really strong and if you use it for scissors, it will cut through almost anything. Truly, you can tell these are high quality. I love the design and how easy it is to use. I think the only thing I might want is one in a bigger size, but maybe they make one. I haven't checked. Overall super happy with these multipurpose garden snips. They are amazing! Highly recommend.
