I was glad to receive this stud finder to review so I wouldn't have to borrow my friends anymore. It worked great on my painted sheetrock and wood paneling locating the studs. My wife has several walls for me to hang pictures back up that we never got around to after repainting so this will definitely come in handy. Easy to use and anyone can find dead center of the studs hiding behind the wall. I'll be hanging a 42 inch Flat screen tv soon and the wood screws need to be centered and not shoot out the side of the 2x4 wall studs to be able to hold the full weight of the tv on a wall mount and this should do the trick. Uses two AAA batteries not included.

I truly appreciate the simplicity and accuracy of this stud finder. As a single mom and homeowner all the maintenance and decorating are up to me and I can honestly say that this is my favorite of the three stud finders that I've used so far. I have small hands and appreciate this item being lightweight, easy to operate and incredibly easy to see without reading glasses. I also appreciate that it doesn't make beeping noises. It was the perfect tool for being able to confidently choose the correct location to mount my new TV to the wall. Accurate and no mistakes, made in the USA and only needing 2 small AAA batteries, it's everything I need and no complaints here. Recommended HIGHLY!!
