My cat doesn't like new things but wasn't drinking enough water. This is a great fountain, very quiet and the battery has a very long charge to it. I only have to charge it, maybe once every 2 and 1/2 weeks. I like the options to have the fountain continuously or to run every 20 minutes for 20 seconds dand it is still motion activated and I can clearly see the blue light for the water level. I highly recommend this fountain for anyone with a cat that gets nervous with new things. I run it every 20 minutes and it turns on when he gets near it. My boy is drinking more water and doesn't mind it running.
