Some of the reviews stated that boiling water wasn't that great. Well, I find that it does boil quickly and with much gusto as long as you put a lid on the pot. I have pots that fit the burners perfectly and with the lids it only takes about 7 to 10 minutes even with starting out with cold tap water. I love this Farberware Double Burner. I'm having surgery in a few days and will not be able to eat anything that I cannot smash with a fork. I'm taking this with me to use on my travels to heat up soups and foods of that nature. This apparatus works quickly, looks great and is substantially made. Nothing flimsy about this product. I'm absolutely thrilled with it and you can't beat the price. I even purchased the extra two year replacement plan as I want this appliance to be around for a long, long time.
