Expert Grill Hickory Wood Mini Smoking Logs, 1.5 Cubic feet

I have really enjoyed smoking meat with these logs. As you can see, they stay in the box next to my other necessities. And these mini logs are now considered that, a necessity. I have previously smoked my meat with the larger logs that you can get at other big box stores. I tried the chunks, but just was not completely satisfied as it left me wanting more smoke in the flavor. These get the job done. They are long lasting and burn hot. My experience with the larger logs would make my smoker too hot as it is a pretty small one. The chunks were had to get an accurate cook since I could not determine how many chunks to throw in at a time, plus they would burn too quickly. Thus, here come the mini logs. The perfect go-between that has provided me with a perfect cook. I have really enjoyed these, and have even used them in my fireplace in my house. They are a good started as they catch quick, and last longer than a traditional fire starter. Great product and will definitely be buying more in the future. The price point, I believe, is a tad high. However, for the convenience and consistency factor, I will pay that. Too much higher though and I will have to make my own mini logs with the power tools.

I got these logs for my outdoor fire pit for some winter bonfires. I needed something with a slower burn to last a couple hours at least. Most firewood logs you find at stores have been sitting outside for a while and may not be dry enough for a good burn. I was hoping that getting it from a reputable brand would give me better results. These logs will get you close to a 2 hour burn time. They take a while to get started, but when they do, they will burn steady. The size and shape of the logs is perfect for our mini firepit. We didn’t have to split the logs any further and fit about 3 in the pit. We needed to use a starter for it, and they took a little bit longer to light. We stopped the bonfire after a couple hours, but I’m sure these logs could have gone on for another hour or so. One thing to note is that these were a little difficult to put out. I dumped a bucket of water but came back an hour later to find the logs still burning. There’s no chemical smell with burning these logs as they are naturally-heat treated. Overall, I’m very satisfied with them and will be using them for my next bonfire.
