Great price and has the Vortex dependability I wanted.

Had been looking at one of these Vortex SPARCs for several weeks and saw that Focus Camera had it for $50 less than most everyone else, plus free shipping. My SPARC arrived in only 3 days after ordering and it was packaged very well. Opened it up and it powered right up. Mounted it on a 9mm carbine and it is awesome. I will probably buy another one for one of my AR's.

Excellent value and performance

I've been running this optic on my AR-15 for over six months. I was previously running a 1-4X variable FFP scope, but after trying the SPARC I never went back. The optical clarity is excellent, it was easily zeroed at 50yds, and has maintained zero ever since. I've used it in a variety of lighting and weather conditions - dusk, dawn, bright sun, overcast, rain - with very consistent results. I can hold ~ 2 MOA at 50 yds with budget M855 ammo. My AR has an A2 front post, and I have the SPARC mounted for 1/3 co-witness. The only con (for me) is that the red dot won't stay on continuously and / or that it doesn't have a "shake awake" feature, but its price to performance value is high enough that I still give it 5 stars. No regrets buying and using the SPARC.

Great overall sight

At this price point you get a lot of features with the Vortex sparc. It's very well-built and durable.Comes with lens protector. The glass is crystal clear. The on and off is controlled by the lightness and darkness buttons that are easily accessible . I also like that it uses a common AAA battery. The one little thing I don't like is that it does not have a motion sensor like the Romeo 5.It would be nice if the sight would be automatically ready as soon as you pick up the weapon. That would make it perfect for a home defense weapon. Other than that, I gave it 5 stars. Especially since it comes with an unconditional lifetime warranty. The great vortex customer service is definitely another great reason to buy.If you ever need them they will be there to give you quick and friendly service. I mounted it on a CZ scorpion. Sighted in at 25 yards which is probably more than I would use it at in an emergency situation. It pretty much puts a hole in a hole or right on top of it. It opens up quite a bit at 50 yards. But all in all this is a great sight and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good red dot sight without breaking the bank.
