Vortex Optics AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Red Dot Sight

I own the first gen model of this same sight, so when the Gen 2 hit the market I purchased it right away. I wanted to see what the changes were to the original model and I am blown away. I loved the Gen 1, but it was heavy. The Gen 2 has solved that issue along with streamlining everything else. It truly is as good or better than my Eotechs and I own several of them. Will this replace the Eotech? No, there will never be a replacement for an Eotech, but Vortex came pretty close with this Gen 2. I like it so much that I purchased a couple magnifiers from Vortex and that is what I run on 1 of my AR's and my ACR. Great combo for a much better price that the Eotech combo, which I have 2. Just give it a try and I promise it will surprise you and with Vortex's Warranty how can you go wrong?

In spending weeks/months researching this Vortex UH-1 and reviewing every comparison thread against various Eotech products (which I was already familiar with), I decided to go with the Vortex. In the World of "holographic" sights, you honestly can't go wrong with either brand. For me, it ultimately came down to a slightly better battery life than most Eotech models and Vortex's Lifetime Warranty. On a fairly costlty and complex sight such as a holographic, this is nice peace of mind to have. In actual performance testing at the range, I could not be happier. Plus, the Gen II has a really nice look and feel and their EBR-CQP reticle is a very nice attribute.
