Frustrated with closure on necklace

Poor design on the closure. I finally got it apart, then couldn't get it to be secured to wear the necklace. So frustrated. For such a beautiful piece of jewelry, it has a very cheap closure. One end of the chain is melted to the closure. It was very hard to use.
