Eagle Claw snelled hooks are great when you dont want to tie directly to your line. Just tie a snap swivel tho your line and snap on the snell thru its loop end. Very fast and convienient. These are bait holders with 2 sharp barbs on the shank and a extremly sharp hook end, so your worm, minnow or soft plastic bait isn't coming off very essily. These are size 6, a medium size for freshwater fishing. Just choose an appropreate size for your bait or lure and the size of the fish yoi want to catch. I have caught Bluegill, Catfish, Bass, Walleye, and Pike using Eagle Claw snelled hooks. Plus, they always have a diagram or two on the back of the package showing a couple of ways to rig your gear.
