Fantastic Charger

Found this charger after viewing a detailed YouTube review. Definitely a bit easier to install than my previous charger. Replace an eary GM level 2 charger with this. Installation with the leads hanging out from the unit was a breeze compared to opening some of these chargers and routing the thick wires inside and making them fit in the terminals that always seem just a little too small. I was able to wire this to my junction box on the wall in no time. I did open up the charger to make sure the limit switch was set to 48amps but that was it. Seamless wifi connectivity on a tri-band router. Ive had issues connecting 2.4ghz on muly router unless I disabled the other bands but those extra steps weren't required for this, It just connected right away. You can set schedules on the app for the charger if your EV doesn't have the option. I leave the charger ready all the time as my EV starts charging whenever to reach 80% by 8am. You can set you electricity rate on the app to rrack charging costs also. App also gives a live voltage reading and I can adjust the chargers output if needed. Only gripe is the "holster" for the plug is loose, not as soild a feeling as Im used to when hanging up the plug. The plug is solid tho, rubberized grip with a metal latch.

Would have been perfect save one glaring omission

Works great after having to return the industry leaders product due to flaky WiFi. This one connected no issues. The only real complaint is that the hardwired version comes with a strange flexible conduit but does not provide a connector for the loose end to go into a junction box. I could not find a suitable connector anywhere and thus had to by waterproof conduit and connectors and then remove the wires from the inside of the unit, replace the flexible conduit and then put the wires back on. All would have been easily and cheaply solved by just including one simple connector for the end of the flexible conduit they sent. Otherwise, instructions, installation and most importantly function has been great.
