First of all the description labels this bed white and the pictures are obviously of a bright white bed. This bed is NOT white, it's not ivory, off white, any version of white... It is tan. So tan it might as well be brown. Its not near as pretty brown as it is in the picture of white. Second, the illustrations are wrong on one of the steps. If you do it the way it shows it will not go together correctly. I'm a direction follower so I kept trying to do it their way. Don't! Just do what you know is right. I started a return on the bed immediately after opening the box. We did end up keeping it, but not because we like it at all. We only kept it because my daughter was dead set on this style. She hates the color, has had to redesign her entire room, and is very disappointed. She just didn't want to start over finding something else. She wanted a bed that night.
