Sunex 3657 3/8" Drive 10 Pc. Metric Univ. Impact Socket Set delete 6 pt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sunex 3657 3/8" Drive Metric Universal Impact Socket Set (10mm-19mm) represents an incredible value for an incredible product. The sockets are a collared & pinned style, which is typical of most universal impacts. Sockets are dual-marked - the collar of the socket is laser-etched, displaying the brand name, size and part number of the socket, while the head of the socket is stamped with the material type (CR-MO, or Chrome-Molybdenum, which every good impact should be) and the size. The laser-etching lines up perfectly with the socket ball-retention hole, showing some attention to detail, however, the stampings in the head do not appear to be aligned with anything in particular. This is a very minor complaint, simply because I prefer socket rails to blow-molded cases, so one of the first things I did was pull these out of the case and fit them to a rail. As mentioned, the method of retention is a ball/hole style, and these sockets do not have any machined detents inside the drive receptacle. This is quite common on most impact sockets, and if your impact gun has a functioning hog-ring/friction-ring, this shouldn't be an issue - I did not experience any issues with the socket detaching from my impact gun. Articulation of the universal functions great, I did not experience any binding-up of the sockets in my use. Overall, these are FANTASTIC sockets, they should be a part of anyone's kit, and I only wish I had these several exhaust jobs ago! (Note: The socket rail, extension and impact gun shown in my review pictures are *NOT* part of this set!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this set with my 3/8 impact and it has performed flawlessly every time. From Jeep Cherokees to Kenworth trucks this set has proven itself useful. The sockets feel textured and that helps to get a grip on them when your gloves are covered in oil. The etching does not wear off and best of all they haven't broken after a month of use on a fleet of 60 vehicles.
