These sponges are very absorbent even though they appear quite thin. They are excellent for cleaning around a wound and can easily be used to pack inside a wound to reach small areas of exudate and then removed. They are not sterile so I would not recommend them to leave inside a wound. They are also very soft. I will buy more of them.
