Provides acceptable heat for the room!

I originally had ordered a larger size Duraflame and returned it because the fan did NOT project the heat....a very weak fan. I purchased this Duraflame heater to replace the heater I just described. This heater is almost an exact replica of the Duraflame I had been using the past 8yrs, that I ran 24/7 all winter here in Colorado. It warmed the lower level of my trilevel home and some heat to the second level (as warm air rises). The remote controls all, except the dial which controls the heat level. There is no number to display the temperature setting, which is fine with me because I have never had a temp number visible. I keep thermometer on distant end of the room with continuous temp read out...then adjust dial as needed. I am 75yrs and putting feet on was simple for me. Heater arrived in perfect condition. Very easy return of the previous "weak fan" heater to Walmart. This heater sits on bricks in front of my fireplace. Cat lays right in front on the carpet for hours!

Cute Unit with Life-like Flames

The actual fireplace is much smaller than I expected from the picture. It's cute looking, lighter weight, and the fake flames look pretty legitimate. The assembly was somewhat bewildering, but I did get it together eventually (the legs on the unit were a little challenging). I haven't used the heater portion of the unit, but just tried it once to see if it works, and it does. It didn't seem to put out much heat. I do like the remote, which functions well. I had originally ordered this same unit from Country Door but their customer service is rated very poorly; so, I canceled the order and got this unit through Walmart. It came quickly and in excellent condition.
