Duck Brand General Purpose Packaging Tape, 1.88 in. x 55 yd., Clear, 1 Roll

​I bought this roll of Duck Brand General Purpose Packaging Tape thinking I was becoming the master of my own logistical destiny. I had boxes. I had dreams. I had a moderately heavy toaster that needed to go to Aunt Mildred's. What I didn't have was a degree in forensic science, which is apparently what you need to find the "start" of this roll once you lose the end. ​The Good ​Let's be fair—when this tape actually decides to commit to a box, it's like a clingy ex. It isn't going anywhere. It's clear, it's shiny, and it makes that satisfying ZZZZRIIIP sound that alerts my neighbors three houses down that I am, in fact, "doing manual labor." ​The Bad ​This tape has the structural integrity of a soap bubble if you try to pull it too fast. I spent ten minutes trying to tape a single flap, only for the tape to split down the middle vertically. I ended up with a 12-inch strip that was only half an inch wide and a deep sense of personal failure. ​The Ugly ​The "Easy Start" claim is the greatest work of fiction since The Great Gatsby. I lost the edge for four seconds, and it effectively camouflaged itself into the roll. I spent the next five minutes picking at it with my fingernails like a raccoon digging for trash, eventually resorting to a kitchen knife and accidentally scoring through three layers of tape. ​Summary: It's tape. You think you're getting a decent roll of tape that you can use on packages but this is really thin I had the heavy duty one and that was too sticky just wouldn't even stay on the boxes this one is so thin every time you pull it it just rips so now I'm on the hunt for another roll of tape. I used double the amount just to make sure it would stick to the box well.
