Place your sliced shiitakes in a bowl and gently rinse with cool water to remove any potential dirt and forest matter. Once rinsed, submerge sliced shiitakes in warm ( 160-180 degrees °f) for about 15-20 minutes.

these are sliced, so faster dehydrating than whole dried mushrooms. I'd suggest soaking longer than the directions give, but that's my preference. It comes in a large sturdy plastic bag so don't be fooled by the 8 oz. amount. mushrooms are light as far as weight when compared to other veggies. Dried they work out the same way.
