This was extremely easy to assemble and appears sturdy. My 7 year old autistic son loves his last scooter but it broke and haven't been able to find a suitable replacement. This one he has taken to. There are only 4 different height settings where the handles lock into place. This has advantages and disadvantages - there is no ability to get a perfect height for the child: however, the locking mechanism is secure and i am not worried about the handlebars slipping when in use. There is a recommended weight limit and i have had to warn his teenage brother not to use it as he is significantly larger than his brother (over 100lbs bigger he looks like a lineman in football). My younger son is small for his age the exact opposite of his brother. When his older brother went on the scooter there was bowing in the stand, he exceeds the weight limit. All in all this is a good product for the price you pay.
