This is the second pair of these boots purchased for my daughter. She is thin so boots with laces and a zipper are required. She is 11 and loves these snow boots. They keep her warm and dry all day in the snow. She used them on three different ski trips over a few years. We bought a size up and it was fine. Ski socks are thick so keep that in mind.
