The packaging the item came in was a see thru plastic bag, if using as a gift perhaps a box would have been better. my two year old loves coloring but gets everything everywhere. this is so simple to use! fill pen with water and it draws on the white sheet of the mat. she's already tried to draw on herself and on the couch but because it's water based it doesn't damaged other surfaces. must have for my family, the price is really good.
