I no longer have to buy Caster Sugar by mail order
Finally, the international cartel behind Domino Sugar has deigned to offer proper Caster Sugar -- an ultrafine granulated sugar formerly sold as "beverage sugar" -- to American consumers. Until now, I've only been able to buy Caster Sugar in cartons under the C%26H Baker's Sugar brand, and bagged Imperial Sugar sometimes sold by Wal*Mart. These sugars are hard to find in stores. The container is substandard and evidently not moisture proof because the sugar inside is very lumpy. I rubbed it through a strainer and stored it in a half-gallon Mason jar, which works much better than the container the sugar is packaged in.

I bought some fine grain by accident a few years ago and I won't go back! It dissolves so much better especially when making candy! Nothing turns out grainy:-) The cakes aren't as heavy either! A few extra cents are worth it. FYI cane sugar is also healthier than beet sugar for your body to metabolize whereas beat sugar goes directly into body fat!

Thanks for having this in stock! Caster (superfine) sugar is difficult to find. I only "need" it for making Macarons where success depends on superfine (not powdered) sugar. This product provides a couple of conveniences: 1. Saves time as I don't have to pulse regular sugar in a blender or food processor. 2.
