DEWALT 20V MAX XR 1/4 in. Brushless Impact Driver (DCF845B) – 1,825 in-lbs Torque, 3-Speed Control, LED Work Light, Bare Tool

I've worked on so many HVAC systems and appliances where someone has stripped out the screws using a regular impact. This impact you just set it to 1 and that problem is gone (wish more techs had this!). If you need more torque just bump up the speed. Paired with DeWalts PowerStack this impact is lightweight and powerful. I was sceptical at first but have used and abused this bad boy and for sure it's replacing my older DeWalt impact on my jobs now. I absolutely recommend this tool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new DeWALT 20v 1/4 impact is impressive. Comparing this new impact (DCF845) to my older model (DCF887), I am shocked at how DeWALT continues to make improvements, all while maintaining the tools size and weight. This new impact has a max RPM of 3400 compared to the DCF887, which topped out at 3250. I used this drill to add joist supports in the attic above my garage. My house was built in the early 1940s with old true lumber. I have used many drills in the past that would overheat or not have enough power to get through this hard wood. This impact proved its power by driving 3 1/2 inch screws into 6x6 support beams with ease. The added grip and brighter led lights helped immensely while working in the dark, narrow portions of my attic. I am very pleased with this drill and eager to see what DeWALT comes up with next. If you are looking for a new impact with high torque and fast RPM, that is also compact, you won't be disappointed in this choice. It has the power to tackle any job!
