Purchased for our covered, screened in deck to hold our chair cushions. It was very easy and quick to assembly, no tools needed and directions were on the shipping box. Great product to dress up a standard covered deck, to hold deck items and seat cushions. I would not use it on an open deck, as it is not as rainproof as the standard rectangle boxes I use (2). You could place your cushions in large trash bags to keep them dry. Tried it for additional seating, but you would need cushions on the back, as it is pretty deep for normal back support; the bottom seat might be to high if you put a cushion on it, but comfortable without one.. Anyway, it works great for us and we also use it as a serving table for food, as it provides a nice flat area.
