Scotts 415-16S Push Reel Lawn Mower 16" – Manual Grass Cutter, 5-Blade, Green

A few months ago I had to buy a new mower primarily due to my back being adversely effected by the vibration of a gas powered on, but also because of a section under a canopy of trees where the grass is sparse, and a conventional powered blade sand blasted me from the knee down while leaving me in a cloud of dust as I mowed. My yard is small, less than half of an acre, and is pretty uneven in spots as well. This little mower turned out to be perfect for my needs. It's easy to push, and very low maintenance. A couple of things to consider is that it doesn't make a nice cut with grass or weeds over about 4 inches tall, it tends to just fold that over without cutting it, and plan on getting all of those sticks out of the yard first thing, they stop the blade as opposed to cutting through them. The benefits far out-way those minor restrictions for me. There is essentially no vibration, so it doesn't hurt my back, and it cuts wet grass as well as it cuts dry grass, so those long rainy periods don't have me waiting days for the grass to dry, although cleaning, drying, and a little spray lubricant is going to be a good idea after mowing a wet lawn. It's very easy to push, it's very maneuverable, it doesn't kick up dust, it's as quit as whisper, it never needs gasoline, and it won't throw rocks or sticks at you or your cars. Most importantly though, it leaves the yard looking very nice. I find the overall experience quite therapeutic, and I truly enjoy doing yard work once again, as odd as that may sound.

I bought this mower to change my mowing habits. I wanted a better cut..cleaner look and most of all outshine from the neighbors...I'm almost mowing everyday..its that enjoyable. Love the weight to cut ratio ..easy to push and maintain.. Simple and durable design.. I highly recommend it.. Here are the results..
