Battery is Weakest Link

I am a retired electronics tech. The KeySmart Pro was released in 2017. Any device with a LiPo battery that has sat on a shelf for over 7 years likey has a defective battery. The average storage lifespan of the type of battery used in the KeySmart Pro (40mAh LiPo) is 2 years, and that's under ideal conditions. The KeySmart Pro I purchased held true to those conventions. It would not take a charge. I knew up front about that, %26 upgraderd the battery to a 70 mAh as I had intended from the start. The upgrade was not easy given the size differences between the original %26 the upgarde battery, but I got it done. I now have a KeySmart Pro with approximately the same capacity as the KeySmart Pro Max. I have longer periods between the need for charging. Walmart really should stop selling these old devices. I can only imagine the number of dissatisfied customers who purchased one of these.
