EleCare Jr is a nutritionally complete amino acid-based nutrition powder for ages 1 and up. It may be used in the dietary management of protein maldigestion, malabsorption, and food allergies. It also supports the nutrition of those with GI conditions such as short bowel syndrome, eosinophilic GI disorders, GI tract impairment, or other conditions where an amino acid-based diet is required. Use only as directed by a physician.Directions for preparation and use:Your child's health depends on carefully following these directions. Ask your child's doctor if you need to boil (sterilize) water for formula preparation. Depending on the child's specific needs, preparation will vary as prescribed by physician. Follow physician's instructions carefully.1. Wash your hands, surfaces and utensils.Pour desired amount of water into clean container (see mixing guide).2. Add powder; return dry scoop to can.3. Cap container; shake well.Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.Storage:Once mixed, store container of prepared formula in refrigerator and feed to child within 24 hours.Store unopened or opened container at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures.Use opened can contents within 1 month.Warning: Never use a microwave to warm formula. Serious burns can result.Mixing guide:Dilution at 30 Cal/fl oz:Measure water + Add scoop(s) of unpacked level powder using enclosed scoop = Final volume (approx.)5 fl oz + 4 scoops (38 g) = 6 fl oz.7.5 fl oz + 6 scoops (57 g) = 9 fl oz.For most accurate results, EleCare® Jr should be weighed on a scale that reads in grams.When mixed as directed, makes approximately 62 fl oz of formula at 30 Cal/fl oz.Osmolality, prepared at 30 Cal/fl oz = 590 mOsm/kg water.
