Solved problem of battery box separating f
Just installed. This solved the problem where the plastic tabs on the top of my old battery box were bent and the battery box would separate from the wire terminal. Only took a minute to switch. So far it is holding. I will update if the tabs on this unit stop holding.

This is the Solution.
After installation approximately 4 plus years ago when I changed the batteries this time the battery box would not stay close--it would pop open over and over. Installing the replacement battery box fixed the problem. THANKS

Effective - Sort Of
Since the cap pops off like a jack-in-the-box, I was skeptical that replacing the bottom would fix the issue. But it actually has. I've reinforced it with rubber bands, so that perhaps it will last longer than the first. I removed one star because I'm pretty shocked the design hasn't been improved. This is a pretty obvious failure point for faucet as a whole.
