Del Monte Sliced Beets, Canned Vegetables, 14.5 oz Can

Beets are an extremely healthy super-food which also has a helpful benefit with regard to one's blood pressure. I make it a practice to eat beets everyday (in some fashion). I will sometimes cook with them, adding them to, for example, crock-pot recipes and stews. When I do that, I prefer to use Great Value beets, ( as there is a significant price difference and the quality is good). However, when I am utilizing sliced beets, or the beet juice that is within the can, for let's say a Cobb salad, my go-to is always Del Monte brand beets. The slices are thicker, larger and more uniform. The beet juice which is entirely drinkable, is much thicker and not as watery as the Great Value brand. If I'm going to drink the juice that comes in the can, I would prefer it to be of a greater consistency, thus Del Monte. I would like to reiterate the fact that for everyday use, and for use in cooking, the Great Value beets are entirely acceptable. But when eating or drinking raw, the Del Monte has a greater quality.

It is so easy to find and order what you need on the walmart.com website. Price is very competitive if not better than other stores. Description of item is very clear, and customer ratings are too. Cost for delivery with Walmart is excellent. Cans came undented and food inside was not broken up and whole sliced beets that tasted great. I love and only buy Del Monte Vegetables.
