Dei Fratelli Crushed Tomatoes, No Salt Added, 28 Oz

I have made homemade spaghetti sauce using this brand of crushed tomatoes twice in the past month. I started with some quality EVO olive oil then added 1/4 lb ground sausage %26 1/2 an onion chopped. Sauté till sausage is browned a little then add 3 chopped garlic cloves, cook another minute then add the tomatoes from can. Bring to almost boiling on medium heat then reduce to simmer, put lid on partially open with a spoon and cook for 3 hours stirring often. OMG it was the best sauce I have had in 20 years! I will be stocking this brand from now on. I usually buy another more expensive brand and do not get the same amazing flavor as these tomatoes.

Instead of paying $$$$ for a good quality jarred sauce I make my own. This can seemed like something that someone's Nonna would approve of. It was exactly what I needed.
