Chefmaster Liqua-gel food coloring is known throughout the industry for giving food a deep, vibrant color which will not fade over time. Our Liqua-gels are soft gel food coloring for coloring icings, fondants, gum pastes, batters, cake frosting, and more. Liqua-Gel's are formulated to gives your icing the color you want without altering the taste, texture, or consistency of the finished product. Liqua-Gel is a water-based solution but also contains glycerine and corn syrup, which makes it a semi-thick gel and concentrated form of food coloring. If it’s the first time you use Liqua-Gel, it is always best to start by adding one drop at a time, mixing it well and then adding another drop if needed. This way you will avoid ending up with a darker than desired color. This is the type of coloring that you can use with practically any recipe (except chocolate, where other less viscous colors are preferred), as it’s not likely to affect the consistency of your mixture, but it’s also not as thick as Gel Paste and therefore easier to use.
