my husband works night, because of that he goes to bed while the sun is still out. I always have to have dark blackout curtains up, with that said i have to say with all the years of using blackout curtains these are by far the best. Absolutely no sun shines through. The fabric is heavy and blocks all of the sun. If you want blackout curtains, these will not disappoint. I'm so happy I bought them.
