very powerful. you really need two of the larger DeWalt batteries to make this work. 4 would be even better. the batteries last like 20m each. so depending on how much you have to do and how much time you have because they take awhile to charge. no cord. sawdust will build up. has a bag for dust

Big Power, Light Weight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally DeWalt has a cordless belt sander!!! This tool is a must have for anyone who does any type of woodworking. Countless times I could have used a regular belt sander, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of pulling out cords, dragging them around and overall creating an unsafe workspace. The cordless belt sander is very powerful, quick and easy belt changes and makes my life that much easier and safer when working. The variable speed trigger is amazing for those small finishing touch ups.
