These really work. I buy them for one reason only. I have an RV that is stored over winter in an underground storage facility that was once a limestone mine. The temperature stay at a constant 56 degrees, but the moisture is also constantly high at 60%. So I need a way to keep the moisture down in my RV to avoid mold and smell. Enter DampRid. I put eight of these, or 4 of the larger ones in different places throughout my RV, and come spring when I pick it up, they are full of water and my RV smells fine with no mold anywhere. They really work. I rely on them and they never let me down. These are terrific and I know I can count on them to do the job every time. They suck up moisture and do it well. I have been using DampRid for as long as I can remember. I have a container in the refrigerator and the freezer in our camper and a couple in the camper itself. I use DampRid in all the closets and even in the bathroom under the toilet. Place them in the corners of your lower level even it you have a dehumidifier running constantly. You'll be surprised at how much moisture it collects in a week. Less humidity means less spiders and other bugs looking to nest too. Just remember to drain off the water weekly to keep them working as they should. Placing in plastic bowls or on plant trays helps to keep from knocking them over accidentally.
