Great Bed, Sturdy and Easy to Put Together

Bought for my 7 year old son and he loves it! I was worried about it being sturdy and it is GREAT! My hubby is not too handy and had it put together in an hour and a half. Only complaint I have is that I do not know why they put the sticker labels on it that are impossible to get off. What a pain!!

This is a nice sturdy bunkbed. Seemings how im 7 months pregnant an put the bed up by myself it took me a while to put it together!!! Directions say its a 2 or more person job an shod take about 2 hours to put together.....it is possible though to put the bed together as a one man or, in this case, one pregnant woman job!! Just takes forever!!!!! But in the end no matter how it gets done its worth it!! As I said its a nice sturdy bunkbed!! The directions are easy to follow, you just have to pay extra close attention to the picture an what ends the screw holes belong on....the top bunk weight max says 200lbs and bottom says 300lbs....any full size mattress will fit the bottom bunk and any twin size mattress will fit the top bunk, though for the top bunk I would not reccomend getting a mattress too much higher than 6" bc then the safety raik will become use less an whoever sleeps on the top bunk may fall off while sleep....I bought a Slumber 1 6" twin size mattress for the top bunk and the mattress leaves you with almost half of the safety rail bar for protection. ....for the bottom bunk I bought a Slumber 1 8" mattress and I fits perfectly. ...Im 5"8 an I like the fact that I can sit on the bed with the 8" mattress and I dont have to bend my head down......also I like the frame of the bunk and how it is built. I thought since the bottom bunk was a full size that it would take up a huge portion of my daughters room, but actually it fits right in perfectly. ..also I like that when you sit or lay on the bed, whether it be top or bottom or someone on each bunk at the same time, no matter how much you move around the bed doesnt creak hence why I said it is a very sturdy bed!!! Awesome price for the quality....there is probably about 9" of space between the bottom rails of the bottom bunk and the floor, so you can put stuff under the bed as a mini storage area....I put my daughters hair stuff bucket, along with the flatter rolling clear storage containers under her bed....btw by daughter is 5 going on 6 n april an she loves the bed!!! She sleeps on top....oh and another thing the stair ladder bars are pretty skinny so id reccomend grip sole houseshoes or thick socks for whoever will be climbing up the ladder bc it does kind of hurt your feet bc the bars are so skinny.......oh an im about 185lbs an ive been o. An off the top bunk decorating my daughters wall....the bed can and will hold just fine!! I even layed up there a couole times to test it out and make sure it would be safe for my daughter to lay on without having to worry about it caving down...lol sounds funny but id rether it b me than her.....but yea it held just fine!!!

Great but takes time

This is a good value and small floor space option. We got it because the weight rating is highest for value priced beds (wood included). Bed is squeaky for heavier sleepers (100 lbs.) turning over (metal support rods rub), but a bunk board would quiet that. Sort and check all parts before assembling. We had 2 significant pieces not be cut right so we had to wait to assemble top bunk until getting a replacement. I was not surprised by this after reading the other reviews, but disappointed we had to wait - and that the website didn't accept my part number so I had to call. And when I called the first time I got a "we are experiencing technical difficulties" message and had to call back later. (this is why I gave it only 2 marks for meets expectations). When I finally got a hold of a person though, it was easy to get new parts shipped out for a free replacement. Replacement arrived quickly. Overall, the bed is sturdy, ladder ended up close to wall which makes it tight for 5 foot tall 100 lb. kid, but we love the clean look and the space it (doesn't) take up. Worth the wait!
