This material is kind of a plasticky material similar to the rugs I used to use when I went camping and I put outside my RV. very sturdy. very easy. can spray it down or sweep it off. looks nice. I have it set up outside of a Casita kind of a patio area. put a couple of chairs on it's perfect for this. I'm adding a picture. This 5x8' outdoor rug was just what I wanted. The size was right, easy to put in place, easy to maintain, and fit the intended space perfectly. I was concerned about how it handled rain (I worried about any mold developing under the carpet onto the balcony), but after a hard rain, I checked under the carpet. It was wet, but the run had kept much of the rain from the balcony floor. I think in the sun, it would have easily dried, but to be safe, I simply moved the furniture back out of place, lifted the front of the carpet back over the chairs, and in a matter of no time, the carpet %26 the balcony was dry. Since the, I haven't worried about any light rain, it dries quickly. To be honest, I also worried that maybe the print would be to "bold" for this area, but it looks great! I liked it so much, I bought another one for my other balcony that has a porch swing. Love it!
