I had actually used these in the past on some deck railing and knew that these were what I wanted for a long flight of stairs leading from the street up to my house. These lights are made well and easy to install. Because I had only ordered a set of 6 to get started, [wasn't sure how many I would need], after much consideration, I installed all 6 , equally spaced, on the left side handrail. They charged in the sunlight that afternoon and when evening came, I have to admit, I was surprised at how well the stairs were lit up. I thought surely I would have to purchase at least another set of 6 but I was wrong.

This are small lights perfect for lighting my back porch. I attached them with the adhesive strip and so far no problem. The one caveat is that they may burn out fast. One already seems to have quit and it's been less than a month. Their advice: dispose of non-working and replace. Not sure if I might try an upgrade eventually, but right now they suffice. They charge even on mostly cloudy days. The light is minimal, though, enough for me to know where the steps are and create a soft light in general.
