Restored Roku Smart TV – 55-Inch Select Series 4K HDR Roku TV with Roku Enhanced Voice Remote, Brilliant 4K Picture, Automatic Brightness, & Seamless Streaming

This TV has a nice LED screen with decent brightness, contrast, and color. The speakers are also very clear. I like it much better than three "QLED/ULED" budget TVs from Walmart that I previously evaluated. These include the TCL 50Q651G, TCL 43Q51BR, and Hisense 50U6H. With 400 nits of brightness, it performs well in a brightly lit room. I had no problem watching it between two south-facing windows during the middle of the day. At night, it looks even better due to its good contrast and acceptable black levels. There isn't much difference between the HDR and SDR modes, but the SDR mode is very good for a budget TV. Although the speakers lack bass, they produce fairly good sound without a soundbar. The Roku UI works as expected, with no bugs. Overall app performance is okay. It will lag and sometimes reset YouTube if you skip around a 4K video. If you are into high-performance video (4K, HDR, 1000 nits, deep blacks, and high refresh rates), look elsewhere, and be prepared to spend almost twice as much money. But if you just want to watch Full HD SDR content, this is the TV for you. I have this TV connected to a $20 onn 4K Streaming Google TV box, set to 1080p at 60Hz SDR, and this is a great combination. I measured the following power consumption: When off, it consumes 0.5 watts. In standby or with the screen turned off, it consumes 15 watts. At its lowest brightness (0% LED backlight), it consumes 40 watts. At its highest brightness (100% LED backlight), it consumes 150 watts. The auto backlight setting also works very well. At midday, it runs at full backlight (150 watts). At night, it runs at 35% backlight (77 watts), which is perfect. On a cloudy day or as the sun goes down, it does a good job of setting it somewhere in between. Finally, the OTA broadcast TV tuner works well. The integrated channel guide is much better than those provided by other UIs like Google TV. With a SanDisk SDCZ48-032G-GAM46 32 GB USB stick installed, the broadcast TV play/pause functionality was flawless.

I love it and the size is perfect for my living room, it has lots of personalization and advanced picture settings, I have light sensitivity and would like to be able to lower the screen brightness a little more than it allows but other than that I am happy with it!
