Portable Roll Groover, 915 w/2-6 Sc. 10, 2-3.5 Sch. 40

The Rigid 915 In-Air Roll Groover is hands down one of the best products on the market for the intended purpose. I have never had an issue with it walking off the pipe, flaring the end or any issues with depths. With other groovers from other manufacturers all of the above issues are prevalent. The Rigid 915 In-Air and 916 (for 300 machine mounting) is so efficient an Apprentice having never roll grooved a pipe end can successfully accomplish the tasks after only been shown once the correct way. With Rigid's competitors grooving devices a fair amount of field experience is needed as per walking, flaring, and depth preventive cautions must be taken. .

It's the only Groover I own. I've grooved 4"- 6" copper, 4"-6" schedule 40 steel pipe and many other pipes. You can groove a pipe in place saving you loads of time chiseling out an old fitting. Make sure you order the proper cutting wheels accessories. My only complaint is with the tool box accessory. There is no instruction Manuel or better yet video showing how to store the tool in the box. Otherwise ridged has done it again. There is no competing with them!!
