Excellent purchase!! We were a bit cautious about buying this little portable air conditioner as it was the lowest priced one they had and we had never heard of this brand. It arrived safely and my husband set it up in no time flat. The BEST thing that I can tell you about our new AireMax 5,000 BTU (10,000 BTU Ashrae) Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control for Rooms up to 300 Sq. ft., White is how well it works. Better than any of the pricey portable air conditioners that we've owned in the past. Don't let Walmart's low price fool you because though it may be small it is fierce at cooling our living room. Also it is programable. My husband set ours at 72* and it comes on and shuts off automatically as he programed it to do. There is not even one negative that I can say about it. We love and you will too when you buy it. We highly recommend it!!!

This is my 3rd portable unit I have owned. The first thing I noticed about the AireMax was that the unit was properly packed for shipping. The other units were poorly packed. The features are similar to most of the other units I looked at and I am very happy so far ( 1 week in service). The most important thing to do with any portable A/C unit is to insulate the exhaust hose. This will give you at least 25% to 50% better overall cooling performance. You will no longer be dumping HOT AIR back into the area you are trying to cool.
