Sunex Tools 2 Ton Aluminum Service Jack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I don't want to turn this review into full on comparison of the Sunex 3 Ton Aluminum Floor Jack, I feel it necessary for those who are trying to decide between the Sunex 2 Ton or 3 Ton Aluminum Floor Jacks to provide advice, then I will hone in on why you would want to consider the 2 Ton version. If you are working on cars/trucks especially more than just a few times a month, strongly consider the 3 Ton version. It does weigh a bit more but you will appreciate it greatly when it comes to its sturdiness, girth and overall build. However, if you need a lighter duty floor jack for compact cars and light tucks, something that is very mobile and not too heavy to lift or wheel around the Sunex 2 Ton 6602ASJ is definitely for you! There are plenty of aluminum floor jacks out there to choose from, so why consider the Sunex model? For one, attention to detail...Sunex takes great care not only in how they package and ship their floor jacks but also that they come fully loaded with complete instruction manuals, exploded parts views as well as describing how to bleed the air from them just in case. Their warranty registration card enclosed is also reassuring that they stand behind their products, the majority of the Jack is made of thick anodized aluminum high quality steel and robust parts. The handle with the neoprene grip is very comfortable and held in very securely with a quick twist of the locking knob so you can wheel the Jack everywhere without worrying if the jack handle will pop out and is even easier to remove said piece for when its time to store it away. This weekend I had a chance to use the Sunex 2 Ton 6602ASJ on two medium sized cars to drop the rear crossmember on lexus es300 and the replacement of the rear caliper on a Hyundai Sonata and the Jack worked flawlessly. You will adore the Rapid Pump feature and how quickly the jack saddle raises to meet the chassis of the vehicle and only a few more pumps until you have the vehicle off the ground and ready to work! Again, the Sunex line of Aluminum floor jacks are an absolute delight to use and after owning my 3 Ton version already for now over 5 years of constant abuse I no longer doubt its reliability. When it comes to lifting heavy objects in order to work on them, isn't that's what most important, reliability and ease of use? The only slight pet peeve that I have with this model is that some of the linkage pieces connected to the lifting arm while quite secured and strong, do tend to have excessive play or movement. This only means that you may hear these pieces shifting and moving while you are wheeling the jack around but in no way affects the operation nor the safety and reliability of the Floor Jack. I've said it before and will repeat it again, Sunex is carving its place out on the Professional Grade of Automotive Tools and Equipment Market with better and better quality and attention to details. The Sunex 2 Ton 6602ASJ is not only a pleasure to use but resembles a work of Aluminum Art you will be sure to get many compliments on.
