This jacket is so soft and yet warm. it is heavier than I expected but that's what keeps me warm. It is like an extra layer. I wear size 5X and it fits great. A metal zipper to boot (try finding those on anything anymore on items for less than $100). Yes, I would recommend this item for anyone who wants an extra layer of warmth and comfort when outdoors.
