They do their job

So far so good. These outdoor clips are easy to use and do their job. I have used them to attach to my metal shed roof to hang some solar lights. This is not the first time I've used them and they held up well last time. I only removed them because we got a new roof on that structure. I expect these will hold up just as well.

worth the effort of assembly

I used another clip for my outdoor lights the first year in my house and by the second year the plastic was so brittle that every clip snapped when I tried to hang up my lights. I replaced them with these, and they worked great and held up from one year to the next without any becoming brittle or losing their stickiness. They are easy to remove, but the only thing I don't love is that they are noticeable when you don't take them down and don't have anything clipped to them. I have these around my windows and garage door and off season; you can see the black arrow on the strip where you are meant to pull and remove the adhesive. This makes them stand out a bit.
