Coleman Vintage 54-Quart Steel Belted Cooler, Red

I have to admit, I bought this for nostalgic reasons. Fond memories of our red coleman cooler, covered in bumper stickers, sitting in the middle of the conversion van being used as a table for whatever game we were playing as we rolled on down the road. As a kid, I didn't realize that the reason it had bumperstickers from all over the country was that it is really well built, but now that I'm and adult and it's my cooler getting stickered up, I'm reall impressed. Keeps food cold all weekend (If the kids don't keep opening it every 5 minutes). Strong enough to be used as a campfire seat as well. I very possibly might just "need" another one.

When it came time to replace our 40 year old red metal Coleman cooler, I sought a replacement that was identical. This one is essentially the same but with a better latch. I have not yet field tested it to verify its cooling capabilities, but hope for another 40 years of service from this one.
